Just Beauty Direct says.... I LOVE IT - if I could have found a perfect colour for me, then this would have been it. The colour on me is a richer deeper pink than my natural lip colour, a kind of raspberry puree colour. When I first put it on, it was a very natural lip enhancer, but as I reapplied the colour went a deeper shade. Even on maximum application (I had to wait a few moments) the colour still looks fresh and light, as opposed to a heavy lip colour. It does deepen in intensity the more you apply.
After an hour (and a mince pie and a cup of tea) the effect is still there - although slightly less glossy looking, and it still feels soft and moisturising. I do like the fact that the colour lingers even after the gloss as worn off, almost as a kind of natural lip stain. It is tasteless (as in there is no taste -lol) and non greasy or sticky. It feels more like a lip balm than a gloss. There is a very slight warmth (I found) on application, but otherwise no other indication that this is not just a lip balm.
It has a hoof shaped applicator, which allows for precision application, and what is good (for me anyway) is that because you can apply it to the whole lip area, it actually made my lips look fuller. The reason (I think) for this, is that the applicator encourages you to fill in your whole lip area, rather than just a quick slick with a lipgloss wand. As a result you define your whole lip area ( as though you were using a lip brush or lip pencil. The effect however, is soft, with no harsh lines or creasing (and no bee-stung look or feel). Just fuller, better looking lips and the colour fades gradually over the whole lip area - so you are not left with that rather odd, unattractive, outline, that you sometimes see.
So that's my take on it - it will be very interesting to see if this does go the perfect colour for everyone, but it certainly works for me! It also does not appear to stain cups/glasses like a normal lip colour would.
