Just Beauty Direct simply loves the confidence and innovation of the entrants to this unique competition. I guess the more cynical might say that it is fabulous idea to get your fans to provide the inspiration for the next ’super product’ but to be honest, when you look at what has come from Smashbox in the last few years - from Fusion to O Glow, Primer Light to Photo Op, not to mention the fabulous new formulations for Lipstick, Eye colour and Lip gloss, the Smashbox creative and design team don’t seem to need any help.
However, the ideas dreamed up here certainly give me pause for thought. I love the idea of the ‘multi-colour’ click pens. Can you improve on the Proof Eyeliner palette? Well the idea of six eteliner colours in a nifty pen certainly grabbed my interest. The key to making this (and the matching lip pencil/pen) would have to be the applicator. Get an easy dispensing eyeliner brush as the applicator and maybe this would be the best pocket kit for eyes ever.
I do see difficulties re cleaning them though - be interesting to see how it works in practice.
As the number one votes suggestion so far however, we might soon get to see it in action.
Its a bit late to do your own entry now, so keep your powder dry for next year if you have a burning idea for the next super product. In the meantime though, get your inspiration from this years list and look for the winner appearing at Just Beauty Direct soon……
